This is video from 10 years ago using a non HD video camera.
It was taken at Mambo Camp in Botswana where we stayed for 3 days.
The cub is "Legadema" from the documentary special "The eye of the
Leopard" by Dereck and Beverly Joubert. I am posting this leopard footage because of  the obvious closeness of the mother-daughter
bond and the pleasure we had observing the interactions. We have had many hours with leopards over  the years but I think this was my favorite
encounter.

The short selection at the end of the video was taken at Kings Pools
Camp in Botswana. Female lions leave the pride to have their cubs.
A thorn bush is an excellent hiding place where she can spend several days nursing her cubs until their eyes open and they gain enough strength to  move about. We were checking out why the birds in the immediate area were unhappy and after driving around and searching carefully we were rewarded with a unique experience. Not only is it fantastically lucky to have found them but for the only tiny opening to be perfectly situated to be able to video was extraordinary.
Check back later and a full video of Botswana-Zambia will be posted.
